Victorian Studio Portrait Edinburgh Plasterer c.1870

The man in the photograph was the maternal grandfather of Sarah Knight (née Weddell). He was a plasterer by trade, and did work in the Chamber Street museum - then called the Edinburgh Museum of Science and Art - which opened in 1866.

He lived in Carnegie Street, which was in the Southside.
