1962 – The following families lived here.

Stair Number 37 – Basement – Anne Ridgway & her partner.
1st floor – Mr & Mrs Hales & their daughter Eileen.
Mr & Mrs Brash their daughter’s Mary & Betty and their son Alan.
My aunt Mammie Shaw.
There was a Miss Kane that lived in the basement at the back of 37 Dean Path and she had a parrot.

2nd Floor the following families lived here –
Mrs Marshall their 2 daughter’s Mary & Della, and her 4 sons George, Willie, Hendry and Edward. Della was my best friend.
Mr & Mrs Donoghue their 3 daughters Nancy, Dorothy & Ella.
Mrs Henderson and Anne Ridgway.

(Mary Marshall had a bad accident she fell from her window 2 floors up whilst hanging out clothes on the pulley, the pulley broke and she landed between the Stick factory and the back of the tenement of 37).

6 adults & 9 children lived in this stair a total of 26 people.

Number 39 a main door – As I mentioned previously Mr & Mrs Payne lived there.

Stair Number 41 – As I said, previously this is where I lived with my family.

Main door Number 43 –
Mr Gilchrist and his daughter Audrey.
A total of 1 adult & 1 child.
