About this memory

I also remember that after Barber Training after work, we would all go for a Pint except Charlie Miller. He would stay on practicing and when we passed to get our Fish Suppers on the way home he would still be there perfecting his Craft.

From left to right Peter Phisatory, Joe Rooney, our Father, and Jimmy Chapman. (The guy between Joe Mooney and our Father isn’t part of the group, he’s at the table behind.)

Post Script : The Cas Rock is not to be mistaken for the Casrock music venue Pub which took over from the Lord Darnley that was opened sometime in the 80’s and was situated on the corner of West Port where the pubic triangle is, Burke and Hare etc., The original Cas Rock was where Spittal Street joins Castle Terrace, its now Tom Kichins I think. I have searched high and low to get photos or info online but to no avail. I think it may have closed as a Pub around the 1970’s.
