About this memory

1966 – Jim Marshall invited Stuart Tosh from a very popular Edinburgh Band The Avengers to join them for a few gigs around Edinburgh but made no impact lasting only a few months before all going their separate ways.

John Cross decided to leave music, Jim went onto play with Square Deal (an early version of Writing On The Wall), The Sapphires and then moving onto keyboards and joining The Hunters and touring widely all over Scotland for several years.

Stuart Tosh went on to a long musical career of wide acclaim with Pilot, Alan Parson’s Project, 10CC and much more and Ian Nicol continued singing with local bands.

Ref no – 93 – 1966 – Jim
