1997 - David continued his success as a well known Edinburgh musician writing jingles and playing solo.

About this memory

1997 – During this period David was playing in all the well known Edinburgh music lounges and bars and became the regular Saturday night entertainer at Ryan’s Bar at the West End. Over the years David has written well known advertising jingles for Radio and Television, such as
British Caledonian sung by Maggie Reilly of Moonlight Shadow fame
Millars Pandrops with Chic Murray, for television
Fraser’s Stores at the West End, for television
Northern Rock Building Society SSEB for television
Dun’s Solripe with voiceover by Robbie Coltrane
Audio Visuals for Esso, Shell, Poussin Art Exhibition and many more.

As a solo songwriter David has had success with songs covered by other artists, including
Second Hand Ladies- covered by Design
Dancehall Queen – covered by Irish Band Gimik
It’s Over – covered by Mike Pender of the Searchers
