and to this day help on the door at our current Gigs.
Over the years our Roadies were an integral part of our gigging scene then
we had several sets. The first being Willie King and Brian Connefrey two wee Mods at the time who were a double act in themselves.

Around 1968 we had Brian’s older brother Mick Connefrey and Fraser ? who went onto greater things ie., Mick became one of the main drivers for Edwin Shirley Trucking who drove for many big bands tours.
Fraser became the Personal Assistant to Jethro Tull’s – Ian Anderson !!!!

I knew both John and Walter through the Milton Olympic Wrestling Club at Meadow Bank during the mid to late 70’s. They were great guys, lots of memories, especially how tough they were. I was a young teenager back then and they were fantastic characters along with my elder brother Gavin, Scott Murray, Maurice Allan, George McKenzie, Ian Duncan etc. Great times with lots of Scottish, British and World Champions – See Maurice Allen
