About this memory

1965 – bringing banners and signs of support and this made a great difference to us, boosting our confidence somewhat.

The first song we chose was ” Road Runner” written by Bo Diddley. It started with a grinding guitar riff intended to sound like a motor bike driving off, this really got the crowd going, then we went straight into Manfred Mann’s “Untie Me” ballad and finished with the Animals version of an old Gospel song “Bury my Body” which finished in a sort of Gospel calling, which had the crowd really going.
