About this memory

1967 – and going on to play gigs in Edinburgh and Central Scotland.

THE HIPPLE PEOPLE as a three piece guitar, bass and drums played that weekend in Magoos in the High Street.

Jim, John and Ian going there own separate ways.

1967/1968 Two new members were recruited in this period David Anderson from the Beachcomers and the late Dave Wilson from the Moonrakers on lead and rhythm guitars – Tam Paton was at this stage still managing the band.

The Place Club in Victoria Street was a regular gig – and then manager Dougie McDonald took over the management role.
