A common carder bumblebee forages on a cornflower in the garden in the Meadows. The garden is managed by volunteers who have created a beautiful floral oasis that gets used by both people and pollinators. On a lunchtime wander I’ve seen hairy-footed flower bees, mining bees, leaf-cutter bees, bumblebees, honeybees, hoverflies, butterflies and more.
