A place for learning, renewed
7th December 2015

About this memory
Perhaps you attended adult or community education classes run by the City Council or the WEA during the late twentieth century?
These classes were held at Riddle’s Court from the 1960s onwards. The image above is of the ‘Orwell Room’ one of the rooms off the courtyard, accessed by the turnpike stair and which overlooks Victoria Street.
The venue is being renovated and will open as The Patrick Geddes Centre for Learning in 2017.
