About this memory

Situated between the Calder Road and the Railway Line, this was the lower part of the Recreation area behind the Health Centre.

There were public football pitches, a Bowling Green, a Pitch and Putt Course and Tennis courts.

John Broadly was the” Parkie” at the Pitch and Putt.
