Redundancy leaving do for the staff of Crabbies when the business was closed by owners Diageo who were making several closures at the time.
Crabbies, who made among other products Crabbies Green Ginger Wine, operated from buildings on Great Junction Street and Yardheads. The brewery has since been converted into housing.
The Roxburghe Hotel at 38 Charlotte Square is now [2026] being run by the Kimpton Hotel chain.
