These are some photographs of Edinburgh Ghost Signs, remnants of hand painted advertising signage. Above doors or on walls, they were never meant to last forever.
Often revealed during refurbishment you will sometimes catch one for a few days before new signage is added and it will be out of sight for another few years, or perhaps forever.
These ones have been saved, and if you have a good look when you are out and about I’m sure you will spot some!
