About this memory

Irene Farquhar (standing) with sister Alma (left) and cousin Margaret (right).

“This was a scary time to visit London, but my Dad was in the army stationed in Dymchurch, Kent. We all met up in London and stayed at an aunt’s house in Waterloo. She was my Dad’s sister.

“We were there on a visit when there were lots of air raids, flying bombs, etc. But is was worth it to see Dad again.” – Alma Laing (née Farquhar)
