Flooding on the Sighthill estate in the 1950s

Flooding on the Sighthill estate in the 1950s

About this memory

Back gardens of Sighthill Drive when the Murray Burn was not covered.
Water flowed down from the fields and erosion of the banks is clearly seen.
The Burn was usually only two or three feet wide and one to two feet deep.

Thanks to Myra Legge for the photo.
