Holy Trinity Church. Uncle Tom recounts the story when The Minister asked Grandfather

About this memory

who had been taking local photos of the River, if he would be kind enough to take a photo inside the Church which was decorated for the Harvest Festival. Grandpa was delighted to oblige – took the photo and retired home to develop the result – no digital Camera’s in those days.

The Decoration’s in the Church were splendid but unfortunately in his excitement in taking the picture Grandpa had forgotten to wind on the Film from the previous shot with the result that the River was shown running perfectly positioned centrally flowing down the Aisle. Grandpa never went near that Church again. (1937)
