Hume Primary School All Ages 1950-51
1950

About this memory
Marlene Murchie (back row, third left).
The school had one teacher who taught a single class of five to ten year olds.
“Hume School closed in the 1960s when the children were amalgamated into a local town (Greenlaw) school. The school was the centre of the village and really was the start of the demise of the village community when pupils were educated elsewhere.” – Marlene Murchie (2002)
