About this memory

2017 – Seated on the left as you look at the photo is Ian Robertson Deacon of the Incorporation of Candlemakers and Boxmasters and seated to my right is the Lord Provost of Edinburgh Donald Wilson.

I was also the the Deacon-Convener of the Skinners and Furriers of Edinburgh for the last nine years following on my families tradition.

The chair that I am sitting in is the Deacon-Convener’s Chair and is 218 years old and dates from the year 1799.
