Spotting the little grebes are a highlight of any trip to Blackford Pond, even if it can be hard to keep track of them as they arc down so rapidly under the water then pop up again in a new unexpected place. I like how the sunlight is shining on this one’s rusty cheek feathers and how the drops of water have gathered on its back.
