Ever since my baby was born, the two of us have walked to Lochend Park pond to see the birds. He is now almost two and he loves them! Instead of shouting or running around, he stops and quietly observes them. It is a lovely, mindful activity two of us share together. On this sunny morning in May, there were no birds there when we arrived. But we stayed and waited a little and it was worth it. Soon, every type of bird arrived – from geese to heron and pigeons! We are so lucky to have such a variety of wildlife nearby x
