Lovely Horizon

Lovely Horizon

About this memory

This is the view I see everyday from my home. The sea makes me feel calm and peaceful, reminding me all the dreams and hopes I have for the future.
I would like add a very meaningful quote by Bruce Lee, which pops up in my mind whenever I observe the sea : “You must be shapeless, formless, like water. When you pour water in a cup, it becomes the cup. When you pour water in a bottle, it becomes the bottle. When you pour water in a teapot, it becomes the teapot. Water can drip and it can crash. Become like water, my friend.”
This particular quote is of great value to me and reflects the power we have within us, to adapt and transform.
I remember the first time I saw this place, when I moved to my new home in Granton. I was so happy to have found such a quiet and beautiful place here in Edinburgh, away from all the noise and endless crowds in the city centre.
In the horizon, you can observe the island of Inchkeith, used as home for a lighthouse and for military purposes, defending the Fifth of Forth from attack from shipping during the centuries. Now it is an abandoned
island, but to me it always looks like a beautiful mystery rising above the sea.
This place is so special to me, because I have never been happier to live in another location with my family. I am grateful for every moment I have spent enjoying this marvellous horizon…
