Lunchtime castle view

Lunchtime castle view

About this memory

I honestly must be one of the few locals who have done the castle visit. You would think after living here so long I’d get the motivation to get up and go though it’s always on the back of mind that it’s always there to see.

Having such easy access to these fantastic views it makes me think back to my first few times coming through to the city. My first job in the capital commuting from Fife, having no idea what to expect or where to go. Walking along Princes Street and being able to see something so old and majestic was fantastic. Though the feeling has dimmed a little now there are still times when the view can really catch me off guard.
