John George “Jack” MacKay (middle) and Charlotte “Chattie” Eadie (right). Name of woman on left unknown.

Jack was Charlotte’s first husband, marrying in 1928. Jack was from Seahouses in Northumberland and Chattie was from Newhaven in Edinburgh. They met through the fishing industry, both travelling around the coast of Britain.

From an album belonging to Charlotte Eadie of a group of friends who worked in the fishing industry. The sixty photographs in the album were taken mainly on the west coast of Scotland or around Fraserburgh.

Charlotte Eadie was the mother of Sophia Abrahamsen.
