“I had just received my SACW (Senior Aircrafts Woman) in Signals in the WRAF – hence the propeller badge on my arm. We signed on for four years and I served in RAF Mountbatten, then HQ 2nd TAF (Second Tactical Air Force) at Mönchengladbach in Germany.” – Marian Thom (née Payne)
