My son injured himself sledging in the post-Christmas snow, so I took over his Bruntsfield paper round – and loved it! It got me up and out early, with purpose and was my lockdown exercise whilst the gyms were closed. I realised what a community life-line a paperboy, girl or mum is – chatting to the often elderly and isolated customers and helping them out with messages and so on. I made it to the front page of The Scotsman and the Edinburgh Evening News!
