Postcard Sent From Soldier At Front To Woman In Leith 1915

Postcard Sent From Soldier At Front To Woman In Leith 1915

About this memory

Postcard sent from a Private G Dobie, no.20228, to a Miss L Hill of Henderson Street, Leith.

“Dear Louie, I was very pleased to get your letter and see that you didn’t manage to do a man out of his job. I reckon ___ is a fair marriage market now. I am glad that I am no there the ‘noo’ or you would be forcing me into the tolls (?). This is all I have seen of the Germans as yet (The bloke falling out of the Zep). Hope you are keeping well. Kind regards, from GR Dobie.”
