Scotmid Coach Works Restoration And Painting 1992
1992

About this memory
Until the mid 1980s St Cuthbert’s Co-op – later Scotmid – delivered milk by horse cart throughout Edinburgh.
The company had a workshop which maintained the carts and also had Royal Warrant for work on the Queen’s coaches, which would be used in Royal processions to and from Holyrood Palace.
After Scotmid withdrew milk cart deliveries the coach works continued to operate for several years, providing coaches for weddings and annually for Santa’s Procession.
Scotmid closed its coach works in 1993.
