Sighthill Fire Station 2015

Sighthill Fire Station 2015

About this memory

Modern photo of the Sighthill Fire Station which opened on 28th June 1961.
It was built to replace the Angle Park Station.
The height of the red-brick Training tower caused a lot of fuss at the time due to it being far taller than any other building in the area.
Today it is dwarfed by the surrounding High-rise flats.
