About this memory

Mrs Dickson (seated left), Mr Charlie Dickson (at window), Mary Robertson (on right).

Charlie Dickson worked with the trawler company Carnie & Gibb of Granton. He was possibly the crewing manager.

Both he and Mr John (Jock) Robertson worked on the trawlers in Ayr between 1940 and 1944, when fishing moved from the East Coast to the West Coast during WWII.

Ballantyne Road was demolished when the area was cleared in the 1970s.
