Snowstorm on the Mile

Snowstorm on the Mile

About this memory

I was stuck at home thanks to the Beast from the East earlier this year, having had a trip down south cancelled. I was in a thoroughly bad mood, but then the storm began to lift a little so I decided to venture out for food. Thankfully, I decided to bring my camera with me because as I reached the top of my road, I saw the Royal Mile and it was so beautiful that it took my breath away. It was almost completely deserted and the snow had coated the buildings, with just a lone taxi making its way up the slippery cobbles.

It was so peaceful and quiet that suddenly, being stuck in Edinburgh didn’t seem so bad after all.
