Staff Room At A Branch Of Boots The Chemists 1950s

Staff Room At A Branch Of Boots The Chemists 1950s

About this memory

Ernest Mobbs (Snr).

“The photograph had been sent by post to me, [it shows] possibly the staff [my father, Ernest Mobbs] knew well, at a private get together, men wearing buttonhole flowers. Boots always used to have the annual staff dance which required evening dress. The first one I attended posed problems – no money – so had to alter the pink bridesmaid dress I had. I felt very conscious of the fact. However it was a great night.” – Evelyn Muir
