Stuart Laidlaw’s History of the Old Calder Road Sighthill from 1946-1970s

About this memory

Close up of the Police House next to the Union Canal, where a Mr Mackenzie lived.
It was later lived in by the Wooliscroft family P.C. John, wife Jessie and daughter Ruth. The Reid family stayed in the early1970s. When they moved out the house was set on fire and had to be demolished.

Situated where Peoples Garage is today.
Thanks to Ruth McNamara who lived in the House and is seen in the Photo.
