Stuart Laidlaw's-Memories of my father Francis John Laidlaw b.30/09/1915-d.30/04/1986

About this memory

Newspaper cutting announcing the closure of Brook and Son in 1951.
Dad then joined the small firm of H Spencer situated at the top of Leith Street.
This was later taken over by H. Samuel and the shop closed due to the larger H. Samuel’s shop only being a few doors up.
After managing this and the shop on North Bridge, he went to work for Hamilton and Inches at 87 George Street until 1964.
