About this memory
Nelson’s monument obscured the bright sun, leaving the burst of light at the top of the monument. Admiral Horatio Nelson lived from 1758 to 1895, dying at the Battle of Trafalgar at which his fleet one a famous victory.
To the left of Nelson’s monument is the National Monument.
