About this memory

(L-R) – Nellie, Maimie, Rachel, Meggie (the eldest), Alice, Minnie, Lizzie, Annie, Lindis (the youngest), Evelyn.

The Rutter Sisters were from Seahouses in Northumberland. Six of the ten sisters lived in the same street, which was locally known as “Rutter Row”.

The picture was taken at the wedding of the son of one of the sisters.
