“Photo taken on the set of ‘Oklahoma’ at the King’s Theatre. Backstage crew, dressers, etc, on the retiral of the current stage manager. Dad [Peter Bottomley] worked during the day as brassmoulder at Laidlaws. (As he was in reserved occupation he was not called up during the war). In the evenings he worked as scene-shifter at the King’s Theatre.” – Jean Bell (née Bottomley)
