About this memory

1964 – Tom Legget had written about his Father’s life, just months after he had sadly passed away.

The first paragraph reads
“ROBERT SOMMERVILLE LEGGET (1893 -1902) who died on the 29th November 1963, at his home at 8 Blinkbonny Crescent, Edinburgh, left Stewarts (Melville) at the age of 14 to enter the family business a firm of skinners, tanners, and wool-merchants in the Water of Leith Village (erroneously known to-day as “The Dean Village” a sore point with the Leggets). Followed by further paragraphs.
