About this memory

2002 – Denoted below is a letter by my Uncle Tom Legget to the Cockburn Association stating,
“I would be interested to learn [your] attitude to the current misuse of the name “Dean Village” for the “Water of Leith Village” …. The two villages were, and are, quite separate and it would appear that something should be done to rectify the situation. Thos H. Legget.”
Over many, many decades these concern’s were also voiced by my Great Grandfather Robert Sommerville Legget and my Grandfather also named Robert Sommerville Legget.

This matter was published in the Dean Village News number 133 in the Summer of 2002.
