Christine Lothian (left) aged about twenty, she lived in Cramond.
“Christine was single, this was taken before she was married. She eventually met a soldier at Redford Barracks and had a family. I was her third daughter. She worked in service at this time at a doctor’s house in Colinton. I believe his name was Dr Black.” – Helen Ewing (née Skene) (2003]
