We didn’t get out of Edinburgh much when I was a child – a holiday was a big thing. I remember being super excited about the idea of going to Butlins and telling all my school friends about it. The highlight was having my picture taken with these wombles. I loved the wombles so much and used to go up to my granny’s at Newington to watch them on her TV as we didn’t have one. I cried my eyes out when they wouldn’t let me take the wombles home with me though!
