William Tyrrell

William Tyrrell was my great grandfather. He worked in Ramage and Ferguson shipyard in Leith Docks as a riveter before and during World War I.
In his spare time he was a Scout leader in Leith and he was known to Lord Baden-Powell with whom he corresponded.
He lived in Sandport Street with his wife Mary and six children. He died in July 1919 aged 50.
