A visit to Eva’s Ice Cream shop in Fountainbridge

1959

I don’t remember how old I was, but we were on a visit home to Fountainbridge and my mum took me to Eva Mainey’s Ice Cream shop, which if I remember correctly was somewhere off Dundee Street, quite near the ‘Diggers’? and I got a free ice cream sundae. The shop is not there now, when Eva died, her daughters didn’t want to continue the business.
