This Annual highlight has been remembered by several ex-pupils.
Possibly funded by the Scottish Education Dept, it was used to encourage the children to take an interest in the Arts.
There was Singing, Dancing and a Play sometimes based on Nursery Rhymes.
The actors wore white makeup and announced each act by putting their heads through the curtains and shouting “Cuckoo Item 1” or possibly “Cooee 1” in high pitched voices.
