hi ,I would love to find relatives but sadly most of my Grandma and Poppy’s family served in ww1 & ww2. My granddad was a gun loader, blinded by shrapnel. They were from Edinburgh old town i think . Living in ont i was told of fields of heather taught to be loyal to the homeland, sadly I don’t think I have any relatives there only a cousin of my dad but I only met her once id love to see this beautiful city as I feel like I’m home and have a tear in my eye as I write. My grandad wanted to go home so my dad brought his ashes back and scattered from the firth o forth. I still hear the accent of Edinburgh. I hope to see it.
