This selection of ephemera represents just a small selection of the 1195 items found in library books between 2004 and 2009 from the collection of an ex-Library Assistant.
On return to Central Lending Library, books were checked by assistants for marks, damage, staining and… left items. Most staff binned any left items as rubbish but I saved them thinking that the owner may one day be reunited with a treasured photograph or keepsake they thought was lost forever.
