A Father Home On Leave At 26 Prestonfield Avenue 1940s

About this memory

Ernest Mobbs (centre) with his son Arthur (left) and nephew (right).

“Dad in his Royal Navy uniform – as can be seen, no brass buttons, etc, nothing that could glisten during wartime. At last proof Dad used to smoke cigarettes, probably navy issue, he was mostly a pipe smoker, which used to fill the room in no time with smell (which I miss).” – Evelyn Muir (née Mobbs)
