About this memory

1914 – My Grandfather born in 1896 joined the 15th Battalion of the Highland Light Infantry as Private 45093.

He was killed in action on the 13th April 1918, aged just 22 years old.

Grandfather was married to Granny Margaret Shaw and they had 2 children, Bessie my Mother and Mary my auntie.

My Grandfather worked as a Brewery Cooper, making wooden barrels.
