Capital illuminations

5th January 2013
Capital illuminations

About this memory

I first arrived in Edinburgh on a January afternoon and from Waverley Bridge, having left the railway station, was welcomed by the capital illuminated, the Castle lit up as were buildings I would later learn to be the art galleries on the Mound and Ramsay’s Gardens. The Christmas lights had been taken down as it was after the 6th January, but otherwise this is the welcoming picture I have in my mind. And I still go back to view and enjoy
