“This couple were lifelong friends of Flora Fraser. They met in Peebles when Chic worked as a waiter in Peebles Hydro beside [Flora’s father] John Fraser. They all moved to Edinburgh when Flora was fourteen and stayed all together in a tiny flat in the Lawnmarket for a while.” – Patricia Anderson (née Hendry)
