The Campbells were visiting from Glasgow.

“Millars sweetie factory was next to our stair. [The] workers often threw sweets up to us in the back green as it was open with railings. Middlemass biscuit factory was across the road from where we stayed – it is now a library. Mary Barr cleaned in the biscuit factory. Nelson printing works was up the road from us.” – Annie Watson (née) Barr
